TEMPI WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE COMPANY (DEYAT) TEMPI: CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

02 March 2024

Yesterday, the contract for the implementation of the project "Procurement, installation, and operation of a photovoltaic station with a capacity of 1,000 KW using virtual net metering" was signed at the Municipality of Tempi.

The contract was signed by the Mayor of Tempi and President of the Tempi Water Supply and Sewerage Company (DEYAT), George Manolis, the representative of the Municipality of Tempi, George Nicolaou, and the representative of the contracting company "ZILLION PC," Vasileios Ziogos. Following the signing, a discussion was held regarding the construction schedule of the project at the Mayor's office, attended by the head of the Technical Department of Agriculture, Tsiptsiouva, and the Agricultural Engineer, Hadoulou.

The project is financed by the "Antonis Tritsis" program, under the priority axis "Environment": "Interventions and actions to improve energy management and exploit renewable energy sources in water and wastewater management infrastructure."

"This is another important project being implemented by DEYAT Tempi. It involves the construction of a photovoltaic station, which we designed, competed for, and has now been contracted, paving the way for its construction. It is a project with multiple benefits, both economic and environmental, as its completion will significantly reduce the energy costs currently incurred by DEYAT, covering a large portion of the energy-consuming water supply facilities. I would like to once again warmly thank the Technical Services of the Municipality and DEYAT because, despite the lack of personnel, through their cooperation, they achieve the goals we set as the municipal authority," stated Mayor Manolis.

The project involves the procurement, installation, and operation of a photovoltaic station with a capacity of 1000 KW, utilizing virtual net metering. The PV system will be installed on municipal land in the area of "Merias" in the Pyrgetos estate.
